Results List Example:
I. Understanding the Results List
Doing a search on FedBizOpps/CBD will generate a list of records
that match your search query. This list is presented in a table format for easy reading
and scanning:
- The results are listed according to
relevancy, a mathematical score based upon each record's relative match to your search
query.
- The list displays Date, Type and Title information for each record.
- Your search query is displayed at the top of the list (labeled Query:).
- The number of records your search retreives and the
number of results displayed are indicated in the top cell of the table.
- Use the check boxes to the left of each announcement to mark the records
you want for display, downloading, or printing.
Note: You can mark and download (or print) records across any number of pages of
results.
II. Navigating the Results List
- Click on a hyperlinked title to go to an Individual
Record display.
- Click on the
button to view records (if any) beyond the number displayed on the first page of results.
- Refining Your Query: Use this option to
narrow your search if you find
your current results set too large or broad in scope. This will take you to another
search form (note: your previous search criteria will be included in the search from
this form
but will not show in the field boxes) that allows you to add terms to your current search.
To disregard
your previous search, click in the check box provided next to the old search at the top of
the new search form.
- Query Track: Use this option to go to a list
of all the searches you have done in your current Web session.
- Download Multiple Records: Click on this link to
jump to the Citation Manager at the bottom of the page of results.
- Citation Manager: Use this tool to download or print
results. See the section on downloading and printing
for more details.
III. Adding an Alert Search
From the Search Results page, you can add a search to your Alert Service account.
(Note: You will not be able to save searches to your Alert account until one full business day after your subscription begins).
To add the current search to your Alert Service account:
- Scroll to the bottom of the search results page to the section that says Alert Service in red print.
- Enter your FedBizOpps/CBD-FR Alert Account username and password in the boxes provided.
- Follow the instructions as they appear on the screen.
